In the 60s and 70s it was common for Grand Prix drivers to be killed racing. After much waste of life, the prestigious Belgian and German Grand Prix would be boycotted, drivers insisting that safety be put first. This film tells the story of how Grand Prix drivers rebelled against the powers that be, took control of their destiny and were no longer at the mercy of track and car design failure.

In the 1980s rallying was more popular than Formula 1. However the sport was heading out of control and the unregulated mayhem would end abruptly after a series of horrific tragedies.

In 1977 French motorcyclist Thierry Sabine was in serious trouble, lost in the Libyan Desert. While most men would weep and think back over their lives, Thierry thought about coming back - to do a rally. The 9000km Paris-Dakar was born. This is the story of the craziest competitors in the most famous rally and the biggest motor sport event the world has ever seen.

The Isle of Man TT is the most dangerous motorcycle race in the world. On May 26 2000, pub landlord and supremo of road racing Joey Dunlop won this race for a staggering 26th time. Less than one month later Joey would be dead, killed in a freak accident. This is the incredible story of how one determined man of almost 50 years old beat the odds, only to be cut down in tragic circumstances.
