Dalapathi is a dubbed version of Tamil movie Thalapathi in which Surya (Rajinikanth), an orphan fights for the injustice in his locality and in the process meets Devarajan (Mammootty), a smuggler and starts working for him. Arjun (Aravind Swamy), an honest collector steps in to put an end to their activities.
