Dilip Roy is a painter by trade and, despite possessing a beautiful wife called Sushma, he spends most of his time painting. On the day of their anniversary celebration, Dilip is late finishing a painting when a frustrated Sushma snatches the brush from his hand. Furious, Dilip strangles her to death, is arrested, and sent to a psychiatric institute.
