Rachel Bedford, a biologist, devotes her time to the protection of submarine life. Captain Nolan wants to catch a killer whale for money and despite Rachel's protest, he injures a female whale. The animal's mate will have no rest until it can avenge itself and mercilessly chases Nolan, killing several people. Rachel is the only person to be rescued.
