Spears, a private detective working in L.A. receives word from an old friend that his ex-girlfriend, Kim, has been kidnapped by a criminal gang. At first, Spears doesn't want to get involved, especially when he learns that his friend's family is mixed up with the Chinese Mafia, but the feelings he still has for Kim lead him to New York to rescue her.
