With multiple Academy Awards under their belt, Wallace and Gromit are one the of the best-loved comic double-acts in the world. Fans of their TV specials and feature films will not want to miss these rarely-seen short films, each of which introduces a new invention from Wallace intended to make everyday life a little easier such as the Autochef, the Soccamatic, and the Snoozatron. Predictably enough, these mini-masterpieces never perform quite as expected, and it is down to Wallace's long-suffering dog Gromit to pick up the pieces.

    1. Cracking Contraptions, Part 1

Five Tales of Wallace's mini-masterpieces... Gromit's daily chores include sweeping up, unfortunately Wallace wants to help. "The 525 Crackervac" will save Gromit's time, in theory... Breakfast is Wallace and Gromit's favourite meal. But why bother cooking yourself when you have an "Autochef," the combined cooker and waiter on wheels? Wallace is anxious to prove that his troublesome invention is perfectly safe around the home... It can be a hard life "up North" and home security can be a problem, cue Wallace's fearsome "Bully Proof Vest" ... It's nearly Christmas and Wallace is getting into the festive spirit. He's decided to make some tasteful Christmas cards with the help of Gromit, lots of glitter and the "Christmas Cardomatic" ... It's just a short trip to the shops but it can become a daily chore when you have all that cheese to carry home. Wallace has decided to save his legs by initiating a program of guided shopping trolleys to the supermarket. "Shopper" mission is the big one; he's going for the largest ball of Edam on the shelf!

    2. Cracking Contraptions, Part 2

Wallace test out another five of his cracking inventions -- Getting to sleep can be a problem when you eat as much cheese as Wallace. His solution is the "Snoozatron", a simple device to aid the restless insomniac... "The Snowmanatron" is invented just in time for the annual West Wallaby Street Snowman Competition, and Wallace is determined to win... When Wallace takes Gromit to the park for a game of football, he plays to win. Unfortunately he is constantly frustrated by Gromit's goalkeeping prowess. Wallace is forced to reveal his circa-1938 penalty-taking machine "The Soccamatic" he recently purchased via mail order from Preston North End FC... It has always been Gromit's job to walk over and switch the TV channels on Wallace's aging set. Wallace decides to save his legs by inventing "The Tellyscope"... Another chore Gromit dislikes is clearing the table after meals. "The Turbo Diner" is designed to clear the table fast and efficiently, but as ever, it doesn't quite go to plan.
