It remains difficult for Laila to be accepted into Joshua's and Lamarus' crazy little world, in which nothing seems to be more important than to figure out which are the best cereals or whether zombies have human rights. The two are not shy of making fools of themselves.

Laila surely had the plan to keep up appearances a little longer. However, fate has an unexpected coming-out in store for her.

True masochists are happy to visit the dentist - that's at least what Kathrin thinks. While Lamarus and Jutta devote themselves to the avant-garde arts, Laila has to make sure that Kathrin's assumption is in fact unfounded. Luckily, there's a christmas market in town that Joshua can escape to. He cannot escape Lamarus' rants on the establishment, though.

Even Tom wouldn't miss seeing Laila perform at a poetry reading. Lamarus, however, would - in spite of his creative assistance earlier in the process. Joshua, as it turns out, is there only to meet his blind-date. Kathrin is there for Joshua and, apparently, Jutta has her very own plans with Laila for the evening. What a show.

Having flatmates and going out on your own are mostly incompatible: Joshua can't seem to visit his beloved lakeside without taking the whole flatshare with him. Therefore it is nearly impossible for him to hide the true reason for his visits. In the meantime, Kathrin and Jutta are putting others to work for them in the summer heat. But Tom finds a way to satisfy his needs.

Laila's good friend Kim is visiting. The two of them have bold plans for the evening while Joshua, shopping for groceries, is being his usual mean self with Tom and Emelie. Because of a misunderstanding, Kim is frightened of Jutta, who is going to a party with Kathrin and has a strange conception of formal dressing.

Laila and Kim are planning to go to a fetish party but Laila dismisses the plan as soon as she sees an opportunity to spend some alone time with Joshua. That's why Lamarus has to serve as company for Kim. While the two luxuriate somewhere between fetish and art for the afternoon, Laila and Joshua spend a day in the spa, evaluating existential questions.
