Layne and Deon continue their friend zoning, Layne's mother comes to visit and to judge. Tracey's plans to retire with Aaron are thwarted. Veronica feels controlled by Ken, decides to take back her power. Shoshana surprises Vince with a music studio.

Layne, overwhelmed by her anxiety, gives therapy a try. She and Deon recommit to each other in more ways than one, but don't know how to tell the friends.
