Using hypnosis, a corrupt, charismatic monk named Rasputin slowly gains control of the Czar and his family. Fearing a revolt from the people, noble Prince Chegodieff tries to discredit the powerful despot. But only a fight to the death will put an end to Rasputin's reign in Russia.
