Everything has changed in the Mattis Fortress. Ronja and Birk weigh their options as their fathers' strife deepens.

Both the knights and the wile-wings are after Ronja and Birk, who must find a new refuge. Their friendship is put to a test.

The Mattis robbers struggle to get their chief back on his feet, and ask Ronja to return home. Cappa makes a new plan to capture Mattis.

Lovis has had enough of Mattis' antics. Ronja receives a surprise guest and Birk worries about the future, while Cappa reveals what is haunting her.

Mattis and Borka come head-to-head as Cappa makes her final attempt at revenge. A new phase of life begins, and Ronja must say a difficult goodbye.
