We meet Phil Smith and the mature student Bob Thorthwaite and the first year police and criminal investigation gang. The class is faced with a mock exam in car examination. A variety of realistic and often gory scenarios that they have to gather evidence for as if they were real Scenes of Crime Officers racing against the clock before the physical evidence is compromised.

We join CK Nam on the student election campaign. He is the man with the plan and the plan not only includes getting elected, but solving a shot gun shooting in a ballistics experiment. Edith has her first practical blood splatter examination. Richard and Cara come face to face with some of the most gruesome crimes ever committed in the goriest lecture of the year.

Dan has to put himself in the mind set of a murderer as he learns how to dispose of human remains in a day of grave digging with his forensic anthropology class.

Friends Amy and Sarah are in their final year. They are looking at the effect of scavengers on human remains and are put in the place of scenes of crime officers as they have to log and recover the prosthetic bones.

We rejoin third year Dan and his mate Kev in the forest. This time, however, they're not trying to bury human remains. They are on an excavation mission and their task is to dig up the bodies from the Clandestine graves. Only thing is they have to find the graves first.

We revisit single mum and first year forensic science student Edith as she has a DNA profiling exam and see where this year's graduating class ends up.
