At St Paul's he discovers how Sir Christopher Wren brought a new architectural design to England. In Canterbury, site of the oldest cathedral in England, he reflects on the life of the martyred Archbishop Thomas Becket, before visiting the country's tallest spire in Salisbury.

Finally, Pat travels to Lincoln Cathedral which was once the tallest building in the world.
