Steve McQueen's son Chad tasks Gateway Classic Mustang with replicating the 1968 GT Fastback that his father made famous in the movie "Bullitt." With historian Matt Stone's help, the team will create a car that pays tribute to the legendary actor.

The build is underway, and this heap of metal is actually starting to look like Steve McQueen's famous ride. At the shop, the team works on the suspension, engine and transmission and gives the body its signature green paintjob.

With some backup help, the crew makes some major progress on the Bullitt Mustang build, installing the shocks, engine, transmission, sound system, air conditioning, dash and instrument cluster. Then it's finally time to test fire the Boss 347.

The crew puts the finishing touches on the Bullitt Mustang. When it's all done, Lonny Childress takes the car for an extended test drive, where he encounters a 1968 Dodge Charger, creating a scene reminiscent of the classic chase from the movie.
