During the German occupation of France, the arrival of a new priest in a small French village stirs the interest of the local women... Even Barny, a young communist and atheist, doesn't succeed in being indifferent. Spurred by curiosity, the young skeptic goes to the church with the aim of defying abbot Léon Morin.
