Mount Pleasant

Life is sweet in Mount Pleasant, but how long can peace prevail? The neighborhood gathers at the Johnsons’ home to watch an important football game. Sue is putting on one of her famous spreads, and there’s excitement in the air. But Lisa has other ideas, as she is led astray by her newfound friend Kim.

The residents all pull together when tragedy hits Mount Pleasant. Pauline and Shelley form an unlikely friendship over Shelley’s pining for Greg and Pauline hiding from the bailiff. Pauline is bowled over when a blast from her past returns.

While Dan is pleased to see his dad again, Pauline is far from happy and makes it known that she isn’t going to let Charlie back into her life anytime soon. Although Jack isn’t moving back into the cul-de-sac, he wrangles himself a job at Lisa’s office. Greg has reformed, and Shelley wonders if she’s truly over him after all.

A handsome new resident turns up in Mount Pleasant, which sends Bianca into a bit of a spin. Barry and Sue find a new hobby, but it looks like it could drive a wedge between the two of them. Dan remains irritated by Lisa’s blossoming friendship with Kim and grudgingly goes along for a couples’ meal to meet Kim’s husband, Bryan. 

On a disastrous shopping excursion with Terry and Margaret, Sue gets fed up, and Barry realizes he must take quick action to save the situation. Greg bumps into Kim and isn’t as keen as she is to repeat their one-night stand. Denise is contacted by Fergus’s solicitors, and Pauline and Charlie go on a date.

Lisa and Dan are full of excitement about their holiday to Spain, and Dan gets more good news when Pauline and Charlie reveal they’re back together. But as Greg and Shelley squabble over who is taking Lisa and Dan to the airport, they nearly miss the signs that something isn’t quite right about the trip.

Kate is back and tries her best to convince Lisa that she’s all better now. Dan and Chris’s budding bromance puts Lisa’s nose out of joint. Lisa can’t wait to see Barry and Sue back home, but her “welcome home” drinks for her parents get out of hand in more ways than one.

Dan’s obsession with the pub quiz reaches a fever pitch, but nobody else seems to care all that much. Newly single Fergus tricks Denise into paying him a visit at his sad motel room. And Lisa forgives Kate, but will Dan ever get over the past?

Denise finally lets Fergus see their son, Josh, but when Fergus is late returning, she’s terrified that Josh has been kidnapped. When Lisa invites Bianca and Chris over for a dinner party, Dan is horrified-both by the thought of Lisa’s cooking and by the prospect of having to get through the night without letting on to Lisa about Chris’s sordid secret.

It’s Christmas Day on Mount Pleasant, but will the residents manage to be jolly? Pauline wishes Charlie wasn’t there, Lisa’s not happy with her present from Dan, and there’s a disaster at Bianca’s. It’s time for everyone to come together and make it a Christmas to remember.
