Random Breath Test

RBT patrols the water, breath testing the home of country music and a driver blows twice the legal limit in Botany.

A student on the way to a music festival admits to drinking a long neck beer while driving, and a watercraft pilot fails to get away with a switcheroo when the Water Police approach.

Police cannot understand why a P-plate driver insists that she was in the right to drive drunk, attempt to avoid a breath test and risk other road users' lives, allegedly because she needed to get sugar for her best friend.

A young P-plate driver has his licence suspended, and a motorcycle rider stopped for a defective taillight is found to have an outstanding arrest warrant. A father tests positive for drugs that he took the day before.

The annual Mardi Gras drink festival is a constant source of work for the RBT police. Truck drivers are tested at a way station and most prove to be clean. P-plate drivers do not seem to get the zero alcohol limit requirement.

A car stops in the middle of a busy freeway and the Police are surprised by what they find inside. A man who has been tested several times before and continues to drink and drive assuming it will always be Ok, but is surprised when he is found to be positive for drink driving.

A driver tested allegedly sixteen hours since his last drink, still blows positive, and an RBT unit that is called by highway Police to check a speeding driver, find he is way over. A blue pickup truck attracts attention and unsurprisingly the P Plate driver tests positive.
