Karen West narrowly escapes death at a rendez-vous with a murderer named Eddie, who is shot by the police. After this, she begins having nightmares and goes to a therapy center with her husband Roy. But instead of improving, she gets worse and her relationship with Roy deteriorates. When Roy is attacked by an unidentified animal, his personality and behavior change.
