The Clinic

As we come back to Series 6, we find Cathy laying in a coma fighting for her life after being struck down by Niall Boylan. Dan is keeping constant vigil by her bedside, willing her to live.

Dan's grief over Cathy's death is overshadowed by his obsession with hearing that Niall Boylan will escape relatively free from a serious conviction.

Julia's new companion, Michael Kinsella, will be retiring soon as the Hospital Director of St. Matthew's. He's keen for Julia to take over the job, but she tells him she is happy in her current position.

In her first day in her new role, Daisy impresses Dan with her plan to bring quick fix cosmetic procedures to the Clinic but frustrates Cara by moving into her brand new, tidy office.

Keelin and Ronan are trying for their first child when their world is turned upside-down.

Under the influence of Rocusin, Liam loses a prescription given to him by Grace for their patient, Joan Madden. To cover his mistake, Liam gives Joan a sample drug -unaware of her allergy to penicillin.

Having confronted Niall Boylan, Dan is getting ready to move on with his life. He assures Daisy that he is doing his best to put the past behind him and throws himself into seeking redemption by helping to save the life of a heart op baby.

Grace finds out that her sister, Jasmine, is in Ireland and living close by. Jasmine doesn't want to see Grace and asks her not to tell their parents where she is. Grace fails to keep the promise and tells their father.

Patrick is baffled when a seventeen year-old boy claiming to be his son is admitted to St. Matthew's after a mugging. When the boy, Fergus, produces a birth certificate bearing Patrick's name and that of his mother - Patrick's former girlfriend Gillian Grey - the evidence is overwhelming.

With Daisy's support, Dan attends the trial of Niall Boylan. When Niall is deemed not guilty for the deaths of Cathy and her baby, Dan is overcome with emotion.
