Suddenly out on the street, Bertie who suffers from an identity crisis, must move in with his sister. To make matters worse he buys a half-cursed building and that's just half of his problems.

Bertie is apparently not the only person interested in the building. A councilman with a hidden agenda makes his life very difficult, but maybe Mia can save the day.

Bertie is confused over his plans and his dreams are on the line. Sophia puts her foot down, Uncle Eddie is a man on a mission and leaves Kleintjie gobsmacked.

Security is a bigger problem than Bertie anticipated. Mia works hard to make a success of the business, and a new face might be the light in a dark tunnel.

Bertie's heart wants to do the talking, but not without interference. Sophia and Kevin bumps heads over money and Mia shows that she's not 'n pathetic little girl.

Bullying is at the order of the day. Ivan learns more about the birds and the bees, Mia and apos;s heart is in pieces, and Bertie himself has a few difficult lessons to learn.

Bertie's bar gets a lukewarm reception, and it seems that butter wouldn't melt in Ivan's mouth. Wanda declares war, and Bertie realizes that Hansie Vakansie knows a few unsavory characters.

Bertie gets a list of things to do for the opening evening, while Kleintjie discovers an old photo. Bertie's cold feet threatens to ruin everything.

Bad' doesn't begin to describe the grand opening, and to rub salt in Bertie's wounds, he is busy to rub Hansie the wrong way. Kevin and Bertie straighten things out and Uncle Eddie shares wise words.

Bertie mixes the perfect cocktail, while Sophia feels the past repeats itself to way too much. Ivan and Mia break more than one law, and Hansie & apos;s grandmother helps Eddie with his bucket list.

Pandemonium breaks out when Ivan takes his stuff and leaves, but the Free World is not without challenges. Bertie realizes that some things can wait, and Kevin and Sophia are brought to repentance.

Dr. Rufus feels the children are not the only ones who needs help. Kleintjie and Slappies get to know one another better. Bertie has no choice than to ask for help.

Kleintjie wants to go to London, Wanda flees the country, and the Russians is furious with Bertie. Grown-up decisions were never one of his strong points, but Bertie realizes everything depends on his next decision.
