Akutsu Masatora wechselt mitten im Schuljahr an eine neue Schule. Dort begegnet er seiner neuen Mitschülerin Amane Lily und ist vom ersten Moment an hin und weg von ihr. Allerdings hat Akutsu ein großes Geheimnis, denn er ist in Wahrheit ein Dämon auf einer höllischen Mission. Eine Mission, für die er Lily einspannen möchte. Anstatt sie für seine Zwecke einzuspannen, entpuppt Lily sich als Engel, die Masatora stattdessen für ihre Zwecke einspannt und ihm ein Halsband anlegt, das ihn zu ihrem Diener macht. Doch Masatora will seine dämonischen Artgenossen nicht hintergehen und so versucht er, einen Ausweg aus dieser Situation zu finden.

Masatora hat keine andere Wahl mehr, er muss Lily bei ihrer Dämonenjagd helfen. Sie beginnen in einer Nachbarschaft, in der neuerdings viele Menschen von Streunern angegriffen wurden, hinter denen Lily in Wahrheit Dämonen vermutet. Als die beiden in einem Café eine Pause einlegen, entdeckt Kensaku sie. Kensaku seinerseits ist auch nicht alleine unterwegs, sondern mit seiner Freundin aus Kinde...

When Lily tracks down a spats-obsessed demon, Akutsu does everything within his power to distract her from the battle. Later, Akutsu's boss visits and demands he work on his game to better recruit a new leader for Hell.

Lily uses her adorableness to the fullest as she tries to manipulate Akutsu into falling for her. She finds her efforts matched by Akutsu, and it quickly turns into a flirtatious battle for the ages.

Lily must navigate a terrifying nightmare to wake up and return to class. When Akutsu requests to have the collar removed to more easily enjoy simple pleasures, unexpected consequences throw both him and Lily into combat.

Akutsu stands by Lily and spends the night at her place. Lily gets incredibly flustered at the idea of rewarding Akutsu for his efforts but refuses to go back on a promise she made in the past.

Lily and Akutsu must deal with the social fallout surrounding Akutsu being spotted leaving Lily's apartment. They execute intricate plans to convince everyone that they don't have feelings for each other.

With Lily sick and bedridden, her avatar comes to school claiming to be her older sister "Lilia." She quickly convinces faculty to let her stay for the day and is a hit among the students.

Lily's brother, Zwei, comes to visit. When he first runs into Lily and Akutsu, he's pleasant and cordial. However, his tone quickly shifts when he thinks he's alone with Lily.
