The Protectors

Rasmus is in love with Jasmina and therefore filled with foreboding when she is sent to Islamabad with Lille Kurt and Nyholm to prepare for a visit by the Danish Foreign Minister.

The bombing of Hotel Phoenix in Islamabad confirms Rasmus's fears. As Leon unsuccessfully tries to get hold of Nyholm, Jasmina is making her way into the burning building when a new explosion rocks the hotel.

After attending Tanya’s funeral in Moscow, Jonas joins Rasmus and Small Kurt in protecting peace by preaching to Sister Abraham, who is attending a meeting in Copenhagen between different religions.

Watching video footage from the hotel, the psychiatrist, Boas, recognises the face of a foreign man, Klaus Maria Grashof, a German who, as it turns out, has his own tragic reasons for being close to Sister Abraham.

Jonas receives a long-distance call from Robin, a former colleague in the military. He is involved in illegal diamond trading and has now been taken prisoner in Congo.

Leon and Jonas are up against the Swede and his army of mercenaries. Robin has stolen and hidden a fortune of diamonds meant to finance not only an assassination attempt in Copenhagen, but also a coup d’état in Congo.
