Copa del Rey 2021-2022: everybody’s cup

The start of the Cup leads us to discover stadiums and cities that will experience this competition for the first time. Utrillas, Náxara, O Carballiño, Linares, or Mancha Real will be our stars. The Night of the Epiphany will bring forth a magical evening with the return of Real Madrid to Alcoy, while Linares welcomes Xavi’s Barça, and Athletic visits veteran Óscar Quesada’s Mancha Real.

The round of 16 of the King’s Cup will give us one of the best derbies that can be enjoyed in Spain. The Sevillian derby. The match was marked by a metal bar thrown from the stands and the referee who had to deal with that situation. We will experience matches like never before. Vallecas will return to a King’s Cup semi-final after 40 years, and we will hear little Álvaro’s extraordinary story.

The grand finale of Spanish soccer will have Real Betis and Valencia as protagonists. Before that, they will overcome the second leg of two semi-finals, in which everything is possible. We’ll learn about Gayà’s suffering to be in that lap and how Borja Iglesias felt after scoring the goal that took them through to the final.
