When Appa tries to reap the benefits of Umma's accessible parking pass he winds up with an accessibility issue of his own. Janet wants to explore more meaningful work in the community, but her ambitions might be greater than her qualifications. Shannon tries to spice up her long-distance relationship with Jung, which leads to an awkward situation for the Handy staff.

After a local celebrity takes over the announcements at church, Umma's determined to win the duty back. Appa worries Janet's journaling is pushing them farther apart. Shannon's decision to allow shorts in the office allows Terence to come out of his shell.

After Appa unknowingly destroys a piece of Gerald's childhood, Gerald tries to teach him a lesson. Umma agrees to attend a support group, but Janet discovers she's not being entirely honest in her meetings. Kimchee's invited to visit Jung in California, but Shannon has other plans.

Appa and Umma sneak into an upscale neighbourhood to play tennis, but get caught in a web of lies when they befriend a wealthy couple. Shannon advises Omar to lie to his visiting relatives about his relationship status, but she's not thrilled with his choice of fake sweetheart. Janet spends time with a coworker who isn't what she seems.

Appa's nerves are tested when Cousin Nayoung arrives with an unconventional pet. Jung tries to prepare Shannon for an accidentally arranged lunch with Umma, which comes with a unique set of rules. Kimchee prioritizes corporate demands over a staff members feelings, and pays the price.

Appa is disappointed when he discovers marijuana in the house and jumps to conclusions about who it belongs to, and what it's for. Shannon tries to reward her employees with a soirée at her place, but her plan goes sideways when she can't get everything ready in time.

An impromptu meeting brings Appa and Kimchee closer together, but Kimchee worries how the growing friendship could affect Jung. When Janet finds an envelope of money in the store, she and Umma have different approaches on how to handle the situation. Jung and Shannon struggle to watch their favourite TV shows together.

A minor household accident leaves Appa worried for Umma's safety, but he discovers Umma's not the only one at risk. Jung is touched to learn Janet's telling his adolescent stories at the Desmond Centre, but he's less impressed when he finds out why. Kimchee's curiosity gets the better of him when he discovers an old flame will be attending his high school reunion.

Appa plays umpire for Pastor Nina's baseball team's championship game, but a controversial call puts their relationships to the test. Janet gives Umma a second-hand sweater from a clothing swap, but soon worries the sweater's previous owner hasn't quite let go. Jung and Kimchee's parenting styles conflict when they babysit Gwen's niece.

Kimchee tries to impress the District Manager, but the fallout could have serious ramifications for the staff at Handy. When Shannon inadvertently insults Umma's cooking, Umma goes out of her way to prove Shannon wrong. Appa launches a prank war with Janet and gets more than he bargained for.

Umma tries to set Janet up with their new mason, but Janet's only interested in the 'Korean Discount." Shannon convinces Jung to give Appa a gift. But when Appa reciprocates, he and Jung find themselves at odds over a matching shirt. Kimchee and Shannon can't get on the same page for employee evaluations.

Janet is annoyed when Appa becomes the class clown at their first aid course. Umma worries that her prayers are causing more harm than good. Shannon and Jung debate their 'type' of relationship for reality TV.

Janet convinces Appa and Umma to hear out Jung's business proposals for the store. Shannon struggles with the state of her and Jung's relationship. Playful office teasing at Handy escalates to a meaningful discovery for Kimchee.
