Maria Wern

The owner of an antique store in Visby, is found dead in his car. He has been poisoned. Maria and her colleagues start their investigation and find a cavelike space behind a bookshelf, where someone appears to have been kept captive.

Another victim is found dead by the same method – poisoning. As the story unravels there is a chain of events that leads back to a person that was declared dead 10 years ago. Someone is apparently out for revenge.

Maria and her colleagues are informed that 30-year old Minna Lomén has been murdered. Maria drives out to Minna´s house outside Visby to give her husband Per-Erik the sad news only to find that he, too, has been killed.

[Murder in Sweden] When the investigation becomes a complex maze of intrigues, Maria is sent to the capital to collaborate with the local police. Old feelings are stirred up when she meets Sebastian again in Stockholm…
