In 1990s suburban LA, Stevie is a shy thirteen-year-old skateboarding enthusiast who spends his time outside to escape his troubled family life. He soon befriends older skaters who take him under their wing, making Stevie’s summer one of many firsts, transgressions, and newfound freedoms.
