The guys at Roadkill Garage recently removed a 292ci Chevy inline six from their 1967 Chevy C10 pickup, but that doesn’t mean they have no love for the six-in-a-row. Follow along as Freiburger gives a little background on the most commonly hot rodded Chevy inline six family.

In many episodes of Roadkill Garage, people have seen a booger-welded engine hoist made out of oil-field pipe. In this Roadkill Extra you’ll learn about the legacy of that long-time implement of engine removal and installation.

Basically, it’s Roadkill Garage host Steve Dulcich going out and thrashing various project cars and personal vehicles for no apparent reason other than sideways action, tire smoke, and entertainment. In this first installment, he derbies the 1984 Mazda RK7 from episode 59 of Roadkill.

The Mopar Muscle Truck is Steve Dulcich’s 1974 Dodge D100 loaded with a 360 small-block and a four-speed.

Today’s wideband oxygen sensors and air/fuel-ratio readouts are fantastic for carburetor tuning. In this Roadkill Extra, Freiburger installs an Innovate Motorsports unit on the Crusher Impala and explains how it works.

The hardest thing to shoot for an episode of Roadkill is what we call the cold open, which is that little teaser that runs right at the start, beginning with “This time on Roadkill…” Sometimes we shoot a bunch of them, as you’ll see here in an outtake reel of failures from Finnegan and Tony in the most recent episode with Stubby Bob the wheelstanding dump truck.

Roadkill.com editor Elana Scherr and her hubby Tom are into some unique Mopars-often heavy-duty trucks. Their latest is a Dodge crew-cab dually that looks like it came from 1984 in a time machine. Check it out in this Roadkill Extra.

Every once in a while we shoot two Zip-Tie Moments during production of an episode of Roadkill Garage, but we only use one in the final cut. Here’s the leftover from episode 24 as Freiburger and Dulcich wrench on the Crusher Impala.

The cry of “Thermoquad!” became famous in Roadkill episode 23, the one where the guys build the General Mayhem ’68 Dodge Charger using a 440 engine from a motorhome. Freiburger announced the Thermoquad as the only carburetor that punishes you for going to wide-open throttle. But what is a Thermoquad, really? Watch this Roadkill Extra and you’ll find out.

In Roadkill episode 71, you may have spotted a thermometer in the off-road Hornet that showed the temps in the car were as high as 120 F on some days of filming. To try and combat this, Finnegan experimented with a homemade, portable cooling unit for the car. Watch this and decide for yourself if it was worth it.
