Successful architect Alexandra is overcome with joy when she and her partner manage to secure a contract for a skyscraper in Valencia. But a phone call from the police in the middle of the night leaves her whole world in tatters.

Alexandra is shocked to discover that her husband lived a double life with a woman named Veronica in Albufera.

Alex finds herself forming a true and meaningful relationship with Veronica. The only problem is, Veronica still has no idea who her new friend really is.

The more time Alex spends with Veronica and her daughter, Sol, in Albufera, the more she learns about Oscar's other life.

Veronica's house is broken into but nothing is stolen, prompting Inspector Conrado to suspect it may have something to do with Oscar's death.

Unable to cope with the horrific situation, Alex distracts herself by reworking all of the designs for the skyscraper. At the same time, unusual activity on Oscar's account suggests that his death may not have been a suicide.

While Alexandra learns more about her late husband's trips to a hostess club, Conrado investigates whether Vicent really had anything to do with Oscar's death.

Inspector Conrado reveals his suspicions concerning Oscar's death to Alexandra and Veronica, including the connection between the break-in and the mysterious transactions.
