Police Ten 7

New Zealand Police in the Solomon Islands capital, Honiara, are called to rescue a drunk driver drunk driver who is being attacked by an angry mob. They arrive just in time to see the driver being dragged from his car and the priority for police is to remove him before angry locals can take matters in their own hands.

Mt Wellington Police pullover a car, after they see the driver, who they have spoken to earlier in the evening about drink driving, get in the car. The driver gives false details and fails the roadside breath test so is taken back to the station for an EBA. He blows twice the legal limit and was charged with excess breath alcohol and driving whilst disqualified.

Mt Wellington constables pull over a car on Broadway in Newmarket. The male driver has a bit of an attitude and he is arrested for breach of bail conditions and for driving while disqualified. He plead guilty to driving while disqualified and received a 500 dollar fine and 6 months disqualification.

Mt Wellington Police are called to a barbershop in Newmarket where a male has been acting suspiciously and loitering around the till, after not wanting to pay $20 for a haircut. He was taken back to Mt Wellington Station and he was charged for theft ex shop and was sentenced to 100 hours community service.

Avondale Police are called to a suburban street, where members of the public have apprehended a suspected car thief who has been trying to get away on his bicycle. The male denies that he was looking through car windows and has many excuses, including that he was waiting for a friend. He is taken back to Auckland Central for questioning, but his charges were eventually dropped.

Auckland officers talk to a couple of glue sniffers on Karangahape Road. One of the officers questions one of the men, who says he hasn't been sniffing glue, but as the officer turns his back, the male runs away. The officer chases and eventually catches up with him. He had several warrants for his arrest, so he was taken back to the station for the night.

Avondale Police are out and about when they come across a male running on the road with no shirt on. The male and his mate have been drinking on the footpath, so are both intoxicated. They haven't caused any trouble though, so the officers move on, after giving the shirtless runner a warning not to run on the road.

Henderson Police are doing bail checks when they see a guy who they were just checking on, wandering the streets. The male is extremely drunk and is arrested for breach of bail. He is also quite aggressive and swears at one officer and spits at the other.
