In the series premiere, a mysterious & deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, and a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those on the inside to right for their lives.

Lex (DAVID GYASI) enlists Jake's help in tracking down a young woman who's been in contact with an infected patient. Jana (CHRISTINA MOSES) rations her limited food.

Following Leo's release of several controversial and damaging videos of the chaos within the cordon, Lex enlists Jake to take control of the situation inside.

As the situation grows more dire, Lex's frustration builds as he becomes increasingly conflicted by the messages of false hope he's being forced to send to the public.

With limited resources on his side, Jake's attempt to control a desperate and hungry crowd leaves him rattled after a group of thugs show up and a stand-off ensues.

With the sweltering heat hitting highs and life outside the cordon returning to normal, Lex moves ahead in an attempt to uncover the truth behind a potential government cover-up.

With the cordon now under the control of the National Guard, Lex finds himself clashing with the Captain in charge of the operation. Inside, Jana fends off a violent attack.

While Dr. Cannerts makes a major breakthough in finding a cure for the virus, Jana and Suzy make a plan to break free of the cordon using underground tunnels.

Trapped in isolation and cut off from their chain of command, Lex and Dr. Lommers (CLAUDIA BLACK) can only stand by helplessly as the cordon erupts into mass chaos.

While Teresa goes into labor, Lex grows concerned about Dr. Lommers’ behavior and Leo continues to unravel the conspiracy behind the outbreak.

Lex and Leo clash over their next move after a failed plan threatens to unravel their entire case. And an unexpected turn of events brings Jake and Katie closer together.

As Jana, Sam (SHAWN PARSONS) and Suzy pull together the funds they need to plot their escape, Jake considers his own options for breaking out of the cordon.

In the series finale, Jana, Teresa and others make their dangerous escape out of the cordon, while Lex makes a decision that will change his life forever.
