Frank Fish wakes up in a hospital bed, completely disoriented. Waking up from an eight-year coma after being shot during an intervention, this policeman is astounded to be in 2026. He is reunited with his parents and the medical staff who took care of him. Some things have changed in those eight years...

Frank's doctors and parents explain to him the reason for their nudity: In 2022, the Transparency Law was passed, forcing people to be naked in public for safety reasons. Frank, who has recovered his speech, refuses to adapt to this new situation. The doctors nevertheless take in hand his rehabilitation. When Frank is reunited with his wife, she explains that she no longer wants to live with him.

On July 13, 2022, Lucie invites Frank's friends and colleagues, Kamel, Pujol and Corinne, to celebrate the implementation of the Transparency Law. Everyone is experiencing this transition differently: some dreading the moment when they will have to circulate naked and others are refusing it categorically.

While the assassination of Jean Lanvin upsets the whole community, Frank returns to live with his parents but is unable to adapt to the new law. He remains fully clothed and does not want to go out. Serge and Nathalie, his parents, organize a barbecue to help him. When Frank finally leaves the house, he is stunned to discover with whom Eva, his ex-wife, has rebuilt her life.

Frank rejoins the police force but he is now reduced to secretarial duties under Lucie's orders. He takes his return very badly as his colleagues do not stop making fun of him. Frank tries to take part in the investigation of Jean Lanvin, convinced that he can help find the culprits...

After finally finding himself as an investigator, more in line with his skills, Frank tries to make progress on the Lanvin case. He works on several promising leads. But his daily life in the world of nudity and transparency is difficult. Desperate, he thinks of committing suicide by jumping off a roof...

Miraculously saved, Frank is taken in hand by Fanny, a psychoanalyst with radical methods who forces him to confront himself. After a difficult start where he had to admit that he has been living in a lie, Frank will gradually understand the true meaning of transparency and also fall in love with his therapist. He is ready to change his life...

Frank and Lucie make progress in their investigation of Jean Lanvin's death. One lead takes them to Le Chéri, the swinger's club of the city where everyone is dressed. The two policemen infiltrate the establishment and they discover in the middle of the partygoers a track which could lead them to the rebels.

Lucie is willing to infiltrate the rebel camp, posing as a rebel who wants to join the cause. She finally discovers that they are not dangerous terrorists but rather nice, poorly organized protesters. She is convinced that they have nothing to do with Jean Lanvin's death, but the police and the municipality want heads to roll. Outraged, suspecting manipulation, Lucie leaves the police...

Lucie discovers the extent of the manipulations of the municipality, orchestrated by Simoni and Eva. Meanwhile, Frank is appointed chief of police by Simoni, in exchange for his promise to collaborate with him. This is too much for Lucie, who decides to join the rebels.
