Vietnam veteran Walter Franklin (Nicolas Cage) lives alone with his wife (Kadee Strickland) in a Victorian house on a quiet island in Louisiana. Walter hires local handyman Buddy (Luke Benward) to fix his fence, but when a ferocious hurricane strikes the island Buddy finds himself trapped at the Franklins residence. As tensions rise, the night takes an expected turn.
