Nilus the Sandman

Bizarro - It is a battle of wills between eleven-year-old Gus, who has a sweet tooth and detests vegetables, and his mother, who insists he eat them. After diner one night, when he is left alone to finish the plateful of carrots, the boy falls asleep and into the magic realm of NILUS THE SANDMAN.

Bizarro - There’s a new baby in the Crayton family, and she’s making 12 year-old Todd’s life miserable. His parents spend all their time and energy on Kelly and insist Todd be understanding when the baby mangles his personal belongings.

Bizarro - Math is useless to a young poet like Rhonda.  Despite the best efforts of her teacher Albert Ross, she just doesn t see the point of learning about Pi and other Ђњirrelevancies of lifeЂќ.  Bored to tears she falls asleep in class and wakes up in NILUS THE SANDMAN's dream world, on a sea of numbers.

Bizarro - Kevin Taylor's life isnt worth living. Despite his brains, he doesnt have the brawn to match Bull, the academically challenged school bully who keeps picking on him. At night, he falls asleep. NILUS THE SANDMAN joins Kevin and in his dream they track down Atlas.

Bizarro - Jack aged 12, doesn t need his sister's help with his homework, even though he is failing school badly.  In fact he doesn t need anyone's help, he just wants everyone to leave him alone, to play with his beloved dinosaurs.  Jack drops asleep building his model T-Rex, and meets NILUS THE SANDMAN.  

Bizarro - Eleven-year-old Kate isnt really ready to date yet but Valentine's dance may force her into it. When two boys invite her to the party, she is in a quandary. One of the boys is her friend Joey, the other is Eric, Caught off guard she says yes to both of them then realizes the mess she is in.

Bizarro - Spencer is twelve and has big dreams...of making the winning hit in a World Series Baseball championship.  What he doesn t dream about is chores, which constantly interfere with what he wants to do.  Nodding off in the bathtub one night Spencer dreams of a world with no more rules.

Bizarro - Daredevil Danny Keegan is at it again.  He's been challenged to risk his neck on another hair-raising bike stunt and he never refuses a dare.  When he crashes his bike and is knocked out cold, NILUS THE SANDMAN appears and offers the boy his ultimate dream of adventure.  

Bizarro - Norman Fingers Callaghan is obsessed with a video game. Trying to beat Karn, the Mindmaster has become his whole world. Much to his friends dismay, he's stopped coming out for soccer games, his band has had to replace him because he wont practice and his school marks have plummeted.

Bizarro - Amy Campbell is eleven.  She loves baseball, but is increasingly fascinated by her big sister Sandra with her gang of friends, who seem to live for the latest fashions, and makeup.    NILUS THE SANDMAN emerges from behind the makeup bottles and Amy asks to learn all about beauty.

Bizarro - Eleven-year-old Cynthia is completely frustrated. She just cannot play the latest piece of cello music her teacher Mr. Byrd has given her, no matter how hard she practices. Hoping to never hear another note in her life, she falls asleep at the bus stop. NILUS THE SANDMAN joins her.

Bizarro - Brian Cameron is eleven and his world is coming to an end -- the family is moving to another city. As part of packing up Brian's parents want him to sort through his old toys and give them to needy kids. Brian cant bring himself to part with them, or the security of his childhood home.

Bizarro - Eleven-year-old Jenny is not a happy camper. Stuck in the middle of nowhere, with girls she has never met before, Jenny isn't fitting in. When she stubbornly refuses to join in any of the camp activities, the counselor finally agrees she can leave the following day.
