Just as Shorty and his staff settle into new offices, they get a call for help from a woman trying to save a stray pit who may have been involved in dog fighting.

A Long Beach trucking employee has 48 hours to contain his rescue pit bull or face losing it to animal control. Ronald's plan to become a serious actor is tested when Shorty secures a gig for the staff at the Renaissance Fair.

After volunteering at an animal shelter, Sebastian, Ronald and Ashley return with a pit bull that was set to be euthanized. Ashley visits an LA comedy club to stoke her interest in stand-up comedy. Meanwhile Shorty and Sebastian plan a surprise party.

Sebastian's long-distance girlfriend Shea comes to town, prompting him to make decisions about his living situation and his future. Shorty and Ashley help an abused pit bull get the medical attention it needs.

After Shorty complains of severe back pain, his doctor warns him to exercise and reduce stress before it's too late. The staff decides to auction themselves to raise money at the upcoming Pet Expo.

Shorty and his team get an emergency phone call about a pit bull locked inside an abandoned car. Ronald's best friend from college visits and they share a week of partying.

When a parolee from Utah has to choose between saving his family pit bull and going back to jail, Shorty intervenes. Shortywood joins professional fighters in taping a public service announcement against dog fighting. Meanwhile, Ronald goes on a date.

Shorty and his team help save a pit bull and a Dalmatian tied to a post in LA'S Skid Row. Meanwhile a Shortywood gig is in jeopardy when the staff falls one dwarf short for a photo shoot satirizing Snow White.

Shorty returns to the California Youth Authority, a juvenile reform facility where he once stayed before serving 10 years at Folsom State Prison. Shorty mentors kids involved in a dog training program there, and reflects on his time behind bars.

Shorty and the team get a surprise while searching for a reported stray pit bull in an RV yard; Ashley meets with a booking agent who tempts her with exciting possibilities for her comedy career; Sebastian shows off his fire-breathing skills at a luau.

Shorty surprises his staff with an R&R trip to Mexico. While south of the border the crew enjoys the beach, shopping, and even a traditional Mexican fiesta. But an unexpected crisis prompts Shorty's team to rally behind him as they never have before.

A dangerous dog rescue leaves Shorty hurt, and his sister rushes to his bedside. Ronald's priorities are put to the test again, leading to a final showdown with Shorty; and Seb deals with his relationship troubles.
