Popeye

It's Olive's first visit to a skating rink, and Popeye crashes into the pillar to which she is clinging. The impact sends her flying out of the rink and into the street. Olive finds herself in a crowded department store, on an escalator.

Popeye's troubles start when his car unintentionally knocks down a traffic policeman, and he's given a ticket. He gets another ticket when he parks near a hydrant at Olive's house. Popeye accidentally knocks out the officer.

Popeye tries to lure customers into his penny arcade. His chief competitor is Bluto. When Wimpy wanders along, both men compete for his business. Wimpy sells tickets to their dispute by advertising it as the Battle of the Century.

Olive Oyl works for a movie company writing scripts. In one, she pictures herself as a lovely Princess and Popeye as charming Prince Aladdin. An evil villain appears to battle Popeye for control of his magic lamp and thus wins Olive.

Popeye, saddened by the sight of dogs in a pet shop, buys them and releases them into the streets. Pursued by a dog catcher, the hungry dogs discover freedom isn't so great after all. They gladly follow Popeye back to the pet shop.

Popeye has a nightmare in which he is unable to save Olive Oyl from Bluto. In his dreams he finally catches up with his adversary but for once his blows are ineffectual. He wakes up and then starts after Bluto, who this time, is completely innocent!

Bluto lures Popeye and Olive to a haunted house. He begins playing a series of comical tricks on them but when they discover he is behind it, they plot their revenge.

Popeye meets himself walking down the street toward Olive's house, where he has been invited to a hamburger feast. Bewildered and then angry when Olive mistakes the masquerading Popeye for him, Popeye unmasks the fraud.

Persuaded by Olive Oyl that the public might like them in a different role, Popeye and Bluto attempt to be sophisticated men-about-town. Their best intentions wind up causing their most rambunctious fight in a long while.

Swee'Pea leaves home after Popeye spanks him. When he gets involved in some hair-raising situations, he is forced to call Popeye for help. The startled gob dashes to the rescue.

Popeye replaces Bluto as the lead opposite Olive in a benefit performance of Romeo and Juliet. Bluto is angry and gets a job as head prop man in order to ruin their efforts. He very nearly succeeds.

Olive Oyl's pet goldfish jumps out of his bowl and falls overboard. Popeye dives after the missing pet and the chase is on! Various undersea denizens strive to thwart Popeye's efforts to catch the goldfish.

Popeye brings a television set to the orphanage so the kids can watch him fight the Champ. The kids come to his rescue when the Champ has Popeye on his last leg.
