Rich kid Shutarou Mendou airdrops into Tomobiki High and is a big hit with the ladies, but not so much with the boys. Concerned by the daily horoscope, Lum whips out a strange device to figure out if she's better paired with Mendou or her darling!

Lum drags Ataru along to fight in her planet's Setsubun Festival, but the lecher becomes enamored with one of his opponents: the warrior biker Benten. After the battle, Ataru tries to use Earth's Setsubun to drive Lum away, but Benten suddenly rides into town with her posse.

Ataru has a new nemesis in the classroom and Lum's got a plan to set things straight. The strife in the classroom doesn't end there, as moms from all over town (and the galaxy) wreak havoc at parent-teacher conference time!

Ataru suddenly goes missing when Mendou snaps a photo of him using an antique camera! Once he's found, Ataru seems to have an extremely lucky day, but there's a catch!

When Ataru eats one of Lum's candies along with a manju from Cherry, he splits in two! After a late night of playing hanafuda, Ataru finds himself trapped in less than beautiful dreams by the dream weaver Mujaki and his partner Baku.

When Ten can't keep his mouth shut about Lum's matchmatching party, Ataru blasts off in the little guy's ship to find her.

When gang goes out on a class picnic, Ataru runs into the local Kappa before discovering that Mendou is deathly afraid of the dark.

Ten and Ataru end up swapping bodies after they put on some weird earmuffs!

Ataru ends up fighting the rest of the class over a rapidly growing caterpillar with a big appetite.
