Neurosuregeon Victor Carpio realizes that his only daughter, Karla, suffers from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and finds out how he could save her. Billionaire Sergio Munguía offers to fund Carpio's brain transplant research.

Carpio tells Nambo and Agustin about the plan he has in mind to "save' Karla. Nambo gets busy forming the team so that Carpio's plans come up smoothly. Monica tells Victor why she is coming back. Carpio welcomes and instructs the team on the 18th.

Sergio chooses the first two patients for the brain transplant trial to be performed by the team. Camila and Ruben study the case while they talk about Dr. Nambo's life. After the preparations, Beto and Lino enter the 18th's operating room for the first trial.

The first transplant procedure proves to be a surprise and the team feels powerless when faced with the situation. Monica asks Carpio for an opportunity to be a part of his life, meanwhile, Carpio feels more and more attracted to Mercedes and invites her to dinner. Agustin investigates Grupo Munguía.

Chambu gets stabbed and Sergio asks Carpio to do a second attempt with him, not finding a receiving body the team decides to steal a patient from the hospital. After the second operation Sergio visits the 18th and makes it clear to the team that they will always count on him, they just have to be loyal.

Julio withstands the operation. Carpio tries to work out the situation with Monica and Mercedes. Karla returns to the hospital because she loses 80% of her mobility. Agustin visits the orphanage and discovers that the children they operated on were healthy. Nambo makes Carpio notice that what they are doing is a great project.

Carpio has decided to perform surgery on Karla before it's too late and asks Sergio for the body of a girl the same age as Karla. Nambo tells the team that the operation will be conducted. Galgo takes Anita to the 18th to be Karla's receiving body.
