The plot takes place in northern Italy during World War II and shows the love at first sight between Anastasia, a young Jewish girl and Thomas, an acrobat of the Family Freit Circus. Their love will face obstacles apparently unsormontable, like the racial laws and the sacrifices the war calls for, but together, they will prove that even the deepest abyss can be overcame, one little step at a time.
