Dennis Allen was the eldest son of crime Matriarch and the inspiration for the film Animal Kingdom, Kath Pentingill. He became one of Melbourne's biggest drug dealers, and was responsible for up to 13 murders. Stewart Regan was a pimp, rapist, standover man and a child murderer who enjoyed inflicting pain. He made people disappear. When they both died even the criminal underworld rejoiced.

Sydney's First Lady of Vice. Tilly Devine AKA Madame Razor and 'Chow' Hayes were two of the most terrifying crime figures of the 20th Century and veterans of the infamous Razor Gang wars of the 1920s. With hair-trigger tempers, they slashed, bashed and shot their way to notoriety, striking fear into the hearts of enemies and allies alike.

Lennie McPherson AKA "Mr Big" of Sydney's underworld and Stan "The Man" Smith, two boys from Sydney who were sent to reform schools as petty crooks and emerged as ruthless gangsters. They rose to the top of organized crime in Sydney and remained there for three decades. Smith was McPherson's protégé and his loyal enforcer.

Christopher Dale Flannery AKA Mr Rent-a-kill and Alphonse Gangitano AKA The Black Prince of Lygon Street were both flashy sociopaths, linked by a love crime and power, a rotting body and the convenient death of a witness. They shared a callous indifference for human life, each man building a brand based around their notoriety for ultra violence.

George Freeman was a 'colorful racing identity' who ruled Sydney for a generation and Michael Sayers was a daring gambler who believed it was time for a change in the harbour city. Sayers was also a killer, race fixer and SP Bookmaker, but unlike Freeman he was also a drug dealer. He thought he could take on Sydney's organized crime scene, including Freeman, and win.

Russell Cox was Australia's most famous fugitive and Ray "Chuck" Bennett was the mastermind behind Australia's biggest heist. They were ruthless armed robbers who wouldn't hesitate to kill. The police called Cox 'Mad Dog' because he'd shoot at anyone who disturbed him during a heist. But fellow crims knew him as The Fox after he escaped from a maximum-security prison.

'Jockey' Smith, "public enemy number one" and Raymond John Denning, an unlikely campaigner for prison reform who then turned into a supergrass. They were armed robbers and murderers who had the dash and cunning to escape from prison. Two famous fugitives, remembered more for escaping prison than any of their crimes.

Dino Dibra was a baby-faced drug dealer and murderer and Nikolai Radev was a rapist, murderer, extortionist and drug trafficker. This is the story of two gangsters who dreamt of ruling Melbourne's underworld, but in the end were killed by their mates.
