Chokher Bali: A Passion Play is a Bengali drama based on the novel by Rabindranath Tagore and directed by Rituparno Ghosh. A story of beautiful, educated, Binodini struggling to free herself from the oppression of widowhood. She moves into Mahendra's house, there she meets Ashalata and friend Behari. Among these develops a forbidden attraction, a stirring tale of the deceit, lies and unhappiness.
