CANNES FILM FESTIVAL. An aspiring writer returns to his hometown after graduation, hoping to find a sponsor to publish his first novel. Having to deal with his father's gambling issues, and encountering old flames and painful memories, he sees his fantasies mingle with a reality he no longer recognizes.
