PBY-25 Catalina - Operations and Missions

The CATALINA flying boats proved to be ideal long-range reconnaissance aircraft. A total of 3300 aircraft were built. The last of them were only decommissioned in 1957. Also, it was a CATALINA which discovered the German battleship BISMARCK in 1941 and reported its location.
