In the early hours of the morning of January 26th 2013, 88 year old war veteran Russell Allison died in a house fire.

It's almost a decade since the popular Paeroa resident Jordan Voudouris was shot dead at the back of his pizza restaurant.

From the outset, the disappearance of 43-year-old Bevan Wright seemed sinister. He was last seen returning home from sheep shearing in Feilding over twelve years ago. Despite an extensive police enquiry, his body and some crucial missing personal items have never been found.
