It is a big day at the zoo owing to the long awaited arrival of a new Indian rhino. Batschii has come from a zoo in Switzerland to be a mate for Patna Chester's only male Indian rhino.

A group of seven ring-tailed lemurs leaves the zoo. The animals have been excluded from the 27 strong lemur colony at Chester Zoo following a number of family squabbles, so staff have decided to send them to a zoo in Siberia for a new life.
