Peter rushes to help a cow who is struggling to give birth. Father and son farmers John and Ian believe the calf is coming backwards, but Peter realises that the job is even more challenging. It's a true breech birth, and time is against him if he's going to save the calf.

Julian treats a seriously ill llama called Echo who isn't breathing well. After the tricky job of conducting his first llama chest X-rays, Julian can see there's fluid in Echo's lungs. And when he takes a sample, he doesn't like what he sees.

Peter tries to save a cow who has suffered a huge prolapse after giving birth. With the newborn calf depending on her mum, the pressure is on.

A farmer fears his sheep has been shot. But has it suffered an attack by a dog or a fox? Peter's worried about a tawny owl whose eye he removed 18 months ago. Flynn now has a serious problem with his remaining eye, which means his life is in danger.

Julian heads to the Taylors' farm where there's a double sheep emergency, a new mum and an expectant mum have both prolapsed. Peter meets Katie Perry, a superstar of a collie who requires emergency surgery.

An ewe in labour is rushed into the animal hospital from Cannon Hall Farm. Matt knows the team there lamb hundreds of ewes there every year, so this one must be a real challenge. And with a need for speed, he prepares to deal with it in the car park.

Peter heads to see a worried farmer whose newborn calf can't stand up. If it's a serious joint problem, as the farmer suspects, he might not make it. Julian welcomes Exotic Joe to the practice. Joe normally brings in all kinds of weird and wonderful creatures.

Peter and Matt head to cannon hall farm, where their old friend Prince the Reindeer has antler problems. And at Skeldale Peter's also reunited with infamously feisty cockatiel Oscar, who once put a vet in hospital.

Peter is struggling to find his feet in his new practice. But when a farmer rushes in with a heavily pregnant sheep who's struggling to give birth, instinct takes over as Peter deals with the emergency.

At Jackie Barlow's farm, Mako the alpaca has a lump on his face that's the size of half a football! And Mako is louder than a football crowd, with Julian admitting he's one of his noisiest patients ever.

Peter heads back to the Teasdales, farm where he recently delivered a healthy calf. But this time the pressure is really on, as the expectant mum belongs to Ian's young son, Alfie.

A sheep is rushed into the practice to see Peter, after seriously injuring herself on a piece of metal. Peter thinks he can deal with the wound, but the bigger problem is that the ewe is pregnant with twins. And the lambs' lives are in danger.
