The Oldenheim Twelve

Years ago, journalist Peggy left her hometown of Oldenheim. Now she returns to reconnect with her father and sister. On the same day, 16-year-old Nine disappears. Her bicycle is found in a ditch, but where is she?

A large-scale search is launched for the missing Nine, and Detective Sharif Dahmani is put in charge of the investigation. When a second person mysteriously disappears in Oldenheim, it becomes clear that this is not a straightforward case.

As the residents of Oldenheim begin to distrust each other, Sharif's investigation into the two missing persons makes it clear that the town is not without its problems. Peggy obstructs Sharif in his investigation in an attempt to exonerate her father.

After a third disappearance, Sharif struggles to keep the case under control. Peggy accuses him of not doing his job properly and starts her own investigation. This leads her to a terrifying place.

Fear takes hold in Oldenheim. Arend has had enough and goes looking for help, while Peggy is once again tormented by nightmares. Meanwhile, Sharif follows a trail linked to constellations.

When Sharif's investigation threatens to stall, a new suspect emerges. As new secrets are revealed, Oldenheim is surprised by an event that turns the whole case upside down.

Nine's return gives everyone new hope for a positive outcome. However, Nine refuses to talk about the disturbing marks on her body. Where was she and what happened to her? And what fate awaits the other missing persons?

Paranoia in the village reaches a peak as more and more people become convinced that the disappearances are the result of something supernatural. With the press only fuelling these stories, Sharif has his hands full trying to restore calm in Oldenheim.

Fearing they will be the next victims, the residents of Oldenheim begin to flee from danger. When Peggy has to take care of her father, tensions run high. Victor has made a breakthrough with Nine.

Peggy and Sharif are hot on the suspect's heels, but they can't stop more people from leaving Oldenheim. Nine is tormented by nightmares, which may give her more insight into her trials and tribulations.

Sharif is removed from the case and Oldenheim is evacuated by the army. While Sharif is forced to leave the city, Peggy continues the hunt for the suspect on her own, with disastrous consequences.
