Georges St-Pierre and Jason 'Mayhem' Miller went the full 15 minutes during this welterweight showdown. After an exciting first round where St-Pierre dominated the fight, Miller was able to rebound and take the fight all the way to the judge's scorecards.

Rich Franklin put his UFC Middleweight belt on the line against David Loiseau at UFC 58. The fight went the full 5 rounds in a battle for the ages.

No one expected much from a skinny Brazilian named Royce Gracie when he entered the first Ultimate Fighting Championship. With the St-Pierre's Welterweight Title on the line both fighters were determined to leave the Octagon with the gold wrapped around their waste. It was GSP who emerged victorious but the victory came with a cloud of suspicion following him and his camp for illegal greasing.

On a night of great fights at UFC 31, welterweights Shonie Carter and Matt Serra may have fought the best one, with Carter ending the bout suddenly with a spinning back fist at the 4:51 mark of the third and final round. At the time of the knockout, the outcome of the bout was in doubt, as the match had a myriad of twists and turns, with each man having his moments both standing and on the mat.

When top lightweight contenders BJ Penn and Caol Uno squared off for the first time at UFC 34, with Penn avoiding an orthodox attack from Uno to deliver one of the most emphatic stoppages you will ever see in an MMA fight.

Matt Hughes had redemption on his mind after losing his title to BJ Penn in January of 2004, and what better way to get it than to win back the UFC belt Penn was stripped of. Standing in his way was young Canadian superstar Georges St. Pierre, who gave Hughes all he could handle until the Illinois native locked in an armbar and submitted 'Rush' with just one second left in the first round.

The first time these two squared off in the Octagon Fisher took the fight on very short notice and Stout went home the victor. This time around both fighters came in ready to go and delivered a fight that many consider one of the best of 2007.

The first time Chuck Liddell and Rentao Sobral squared off Liddell won with a leg kick to the head. Sobral then went on to win 10 fights in a row before getting his long awaited rematch which ended once again in the first round.

In what is considered by many to be one of the best fights of 2007, Tyson Griffin and Clay Guida never let up as both fighters left it all in the Octagon at UFC 72.

BJ Penn and Joe Stevenson's went to battle for the vacant title in the lightweight division at UFC 80. Penn looked to finally capture that elusive 155lb crown while Stevenson was on a mission to be the second TUF Alumni to hold a belt.

Two of the most well known Ultimate Fighter winners squared off at UFC 92 with the Light Heavyweight championship on the line. Coming off a stunning KO of Chuck Liddell, Evans sought to keep his undefeated streak alive against the champion Griffin. It was a back-and-forth slugfest that ended up abruptly with a TKO in the third round.

Georges St. Pierre made his Octagon debut at UFC 46, and made quite an impression by pounding out a hard fought three round unanimous decision over Karo Parisyan in a highly anticipated welterweight contest.

Evan Tanner had long been known as one of the best in the UFC, and when he took on Rich Franklin, fans were shocked at the amazing performance of Franklin against such a skilled veteran.

Matt Hughes defeated Carlos Newton for the second time at UFC 38. Unlike the first fight, this one headed all the way into the fourth round before ending with Hughes retaining his welterweight title.

Canadian welterweight contender Georges St. Pierre scored the most impressive victory of his young career. "Rush" was in control from end to end, and with less than a minute to go in the opening round, St. Pierre locked in a rear naked choke that produced a stunning tap out at the 4:09 mark.

Chuck Liddell isn't most fighters, and he proved that he had a warrior's heart as he battled Brazilian star Renato 'Babalu' Sobral at UFC 40. And in the end, 'The Iceman' emerged victorious, taking out 'Babalu' with a kick to the head at 2:55 of the first round.

Sean Sherk got a second chance at a belt only this time it's for the Lightweight title. The battle for this vacant title was one for the ages and both fighters left it all in the Octagon in this 5 round war.

Rashad Evans stepped into the Octagon to face a focused Chuck Liddell. While Liddell was looking to take down Evans and get one step closer to the Light Heavyweight title, Evans was just looking for a win and to keep his unbeaten streak alive, and he did, with the knock out that was heard around the world.
