Dance and the ballroom

The Paso Doble was originally a Spanish folk dance which has a great distinction of being one of the only ballroom dances that are not anywhere else but in the ballroom. You could meet people in the clubs dancing the Waltz or the Tango or the Quick-Step but, you will not see them dance the Paso Doble. This dance has its origin from bullfights and ancient Greece. Chacha is really fun & flirtatious.

The Tango dance Includes Staccato steps, and sharp head turns which separates Tango from Fox Trot and Waltz. At a time it was considered as a dance performed by a prostitute with her pimp in one of the brothels outside Buenos Aires Argentina. The bent knees stance of the dance was basically the natural way the Gauchos walked as a result of chaps that get soaked from the sweat from horses.

Everyone loves to dance, including the blind, deaf, and confined to a wheelchair. Wheelchair dancing had been practiced in other parts of the world since the 1970s but was not a practice in Malta until 1999. The dance classes have the added benefits of teaching both the wheelchair users and their helpers. Better uses of the wheelchair help them to become more independent in their daily lives
