Best Baker in America

Nine of America's top professional bakers are challenged to create mini princess cakes and spectacular royal baby celebration cakes for 100 people using elderflower and lemon as the featured flavors.

The theme is surprises, so the eight competitors show their mastery of molten lava cakes and create smashable desserts using coconut as the featured flavor.

The seven remaining bakers start out by making perfect floating island desserts. In the Master Challenge, they must create a flaming bombe Alaska with mango as the featured flavor.

The six bakers left in the competition must attempt to recreate a beloved French classic, the eclair, and then reimagine a classic French entremet cake using almond as the featured flavor.

The five remaining bakers make Toy Story-themed mini desserts and then choose a character from Disney Pixar's Toy Story 4 to replicate in cake.

It's the last chance to get into the finale, and the four remaining bakers make miniature versions of two pastry classics. Then they create a tall dessert with at least 12 layers and sesame as the featured flavor.

The pressure mounts in the chocolate-themed finale as the three remaining bakers create grown-up brownie sundaes and a Happy Birthday USA chocolate fireworks cake to celebrate July 4th.
