Matriarch Nettie Stanley worries that her sister Mellie's stripping and fighting are getting dangerously out of hand. Later, cousin Kayla's trip to the racetrack is derailed by Mellie's drinking.

Nettie and Kayla fight over who will get to plan Mellie's wedding. When Mellie's ex-con mother gets released from jail, it threatens Mellie's newfound sobriety.

Mellie and Robbie set a wedding date, while Laura plans a 15th anniversary party for Kayla and Richard. Later, a bachelorette road trip to Ocean City, Maryland, gets wildly out of control.

Nettie, Kayla and Laura suspect Mellie may be pregnant, despite Mellie's adamant denial. Nettie and Lottie Mae refuse to speak to one another, and with Mellie's wedding day looming, Mellie starts to doubt everything.

Mellie's honeymoon phase is short-lived, a pregnancy complication sends her to the hospital and she faces jail time. Kayla and Richard must contend with 14-year-old daughter Danielle dating an older gypsy boy.

Tensions run high when Nettie, Kayla and Mellie get into a raging fight just before Mellie's baby shower. With the date of her prison sentence looming, Mellie must make decisions regarding Robbie, her baby and her future.
