We follow the RSPCA at the Appleby Horse Fair. The world famous Appleby Horse Fair sees a gathering of Gypsies and travelers descend on the town of Appleby in Cumbria every year. A horse and trap has flipped over and the horse is unable to get to its feet. Cathy Hyde and her team spring into action.

In Caterham, Surrey the RSPCA are launching a joint raid with the World Horse Welfare and the local Police. Intelligence suggests that several horses are in poor condition. The team are shocked at what they find and are met with resistance from the owner.

The RSPCA are attending an address that has been keeping various animals in unsuitable conditions. One report even suggested a horse was being kept in the cellar. Inspector Nicola Johnson has been called in to investigate and she is shocked at what she discovers.

Inspector Herchy Boal is investigating a report that has come in from a member of the public. Two men have been seen stealing ducks from a local park. Herchy manages to track down the suspects only to find the ducks in question are about to served up for lunch.

The RSPCA launch an investigation into a suspicious dog killing. Inspector Claire Ponsford joins forces with the Police in a manhunt to find a suspect thought to be guilty of a terrible act of animal cruelty.

Inspector Herchy Boal and her colleague Rebecca Cooper investigate a report made regarding some horses in bad condition. The horses look under fed and Herchy must make an important decision regarding the horse's welfare.

In South London, Animal Collection Officer Alana Chapman is worried about a dog that's been left abandoned in a house. The dog looks severely under fed and is in need of veterinary attention. The police arrive to help Alana gain access to the property.

Chief Inspector Cathy Hyde has been called to a horse auction in Cumbria to assess a horse with a suspected case of strangles. If confirmed, the disease could spread rapidly and infect any other nearby horses.

Inspector Gemma Dummer is investigating reports of an abandoned dog, its in poor condition and Gemma must call for police assistance. To make matters worse some angry neighbors confront Gemma.

We're in Birmingham with Inspector Herchy Boal as she investigates a serious case of Animal hoarding - and it turns out to be the worst case she's experienced in her 10 years as an inspector. 

In Southampton, Inspector Jenny Ride was been called to an address where a whole host of animals have been left abandoned. Some of the animals are in poor condition and Jenny must work quickly to ensure the welfare of the animals.

We head to Tunbridge Wells in West Sussex where a deer is trapped in fishing wire. The deer is clearly distressed and is in danger of causing itself a serious injury. Animal Welfare Officer Steve Wickham is on the scene and must act fast to ensure the safety of the deer.

Animal Welfare Officer Matt Brown comes to the rescue of two fox cubs that are entangled in wire. When Matt arrives one of cubs is already dead, he must work quickly to save the life the remaining cub.
